Then you did not spend too much money.

True. And I got the chance to meet the enigmatic Dee-Zed-Em.

Clash, never a truer word spoken. In 6 months, Sporting Life, you'll have forgotten the money but will always remember the gig.

Sporting, Dee-Zed-Em????????????

For 10 years in my mind he's Dee-ZEE-Em :?

DzM............Please clarify..........

Of course it's "zed." We're not animals.

I find myself strangely relieved by this, as I've been saying it "zed" in my head.

Speaking of which, eldest hazardette is off to see Mr Cave and the Seeds tonight. I am wildly jealous.

I had always just abbreviated it to "Deez" in my head, but now I stand properly corrected.

Mr. Cave? Why is there always one more for my bucket list? I hope she has a great time.

That's an experience that is always better in the future tense rather than the present or past tense.

I beg to differ. Don't be a stranger. Let me know when you come back around these parts, Dee-Zed.

On the concert horizon- Brixton, December.

I'd love to go to Gruene Hall this Thursday to see Willie Nelson and Family, but at $105 per head it's a bit steep and too late a night on a weekday.

She did, thanks. This was sort of payback for the time I saw Mr Cave a few years ago without her. The balance is now restored. Still wish I'd been there this time...

A few things coming up in November, then a December hiatus until Brixton...

Well the calendar is starting to fill up...

Pogues - December 21 Brixton
Trampled By Turtles - January 30 Bismarck, ND
Pixies - February 13 Denver, CO

And I don't want no grave
Just throw my ashes in the field

I had written 19th on my calendar and had it crossed out with 21st written in. Was it wrong on the front page or something? Thanks for pointing this out, now need to make sure our flight from Italy arrives in time on the 19th.

I remember Chinaski trying to educate me about 'zee' and 'zed'..first time she heard me say 'zed' she cracked up laughing!
Although I took note of her insisting twas 'zero' and not 'oh' when giving someone a phone number..yeah, that makes sense! :D

Sharon Shannon rocking the squeezebox on Saturday night. Good evening, though I was a tad disappointed that she didn't have a band with her.
