Tomorrow night: Eliza Carthy and the Ratcatchers. At a tiny venue locally. Brilliant band, should be a great gig.

Sadly though the friend I was going to go with isn't well, so she won't be able to come. But I'll go and enjoy it on her behalf.

Oh my goodness, "the first time I saw SLF"... yes, that could be a thread of its own, I reckon. Memories, eh?

Now there are days when you just know that you have to buy some gig tickets. And today is one of them. Don't quite know what tickets, or what gig yet, but tickets will be bought... Perhaps it's just me that feels like this.

But live music is so addictive! :D

Does anyone know if 'Thin Lizzy' are touring this year? My head says I'd like to give it go with an open mind and my heart says I'm better off staying in and watch Corrie.

Saw them at The Astoria at the end of March, fuckin quality. Lots of people don't like the venue because it's small, but it made it pretty good IMO. Only thing I didn't like was the support act andthe fact that most of the crowd were pricks.

Last night: JACKIE MASON, Vicar Street, Dublin.

What can I tell you? He's Jewish and he hates Bush. So new?

The Legendary Shack Shakers 6/29 in Tampa. They never disappoint.
Opening act Willie Heath Neal, is a fine band from Nashville in the genre of Hank III.
This will be another barnburner.

They're opening for The Scorpions on just a few west coast shows in the U.S.
in a month or so. Don't know what the band line-up is. It would be nice to hear the music, but they will never be the same without Phil.

The Tossers were excellent. I actually knew half the songs which was good. And a few people from Chicago shouting at the band was halarious. When they went on no one was really clapping but by the end the crowd was hooting and dancing. Got their new cd. Good job, guys!!

SLF were brilliant I don't even need to say more.
