They're all over the place at the moment. Glad to hear they're making it over there as well. :)

Hope you enjoy the gig, georgecat!

I haven't seen him in a year or so but anyone that has the chance should definetly see him, he's great. Another LA commoner.

This Saturday my wife and I will be attending a fundraising concert performed by a Tibetan musician called Tenzin Choegyal. Should be great, he's a really lovely fella, and it's a beautiful sonorous rustic style of singing, not unlike the Irish 'sean-nós' (old-style).

Went to Portsmouth last week to see Morrissey. A compelling performance as always.

Friday just gone, saw Hard-Fi at the Brighton Centre. The venue normally lacks any atmosphere but I'll hand to them they got the crowd rocking all the way to the back of the hall.

Alain Whyte is at the Viper Room tonight. I can't be bothered to go, but his three piece puts on a good show.

I'm leaving tonight to catch two concerts in Bergen tomorrow and the day after, looking a lot forwards to that (and the "care paket" of German beer and Gummibärchen).

The band is called Coppelius and play "chamber metal", "operapunkfolkmusic", or "cello metal" or something along those lines.

All unusually quiet here on the gig front just now. Eliza Carthy in a couple of weeks, then maybe Toots and the Maytals.

Then a strange weekend with Kate Rusby and Regina Spektor, all being well.
