Bruce and the Seeger Sessions Band last night in Birmingham. You were right, Bud, it was a brilliant gig.

The Boss led a 17-piece band of fantastic musicians featuring every instrument known to humankind. Played for nearly three hours without a break, and at times it all felt like one long extended jam session. Bruce was on top form, and dammit I wish I knew how it was possible to look so good at that age. :wink:

The Seeger Sessions European tour is nearly over, but if you get the chance to see it, then don't miss out.

By the way, soulfinger, the M6 was horrendous.

Thought we were going to miss the gig at one point. Saved by David, the world's nicest driver and a big Pogues fan too.

just bought tickets to see John Martyn perform 'Solid air' in January, there's no London date so it's a rare out of town excursion to Cambridge . Lovely.

Haven't bought me tickets yet... 'tis a slightly difficult date (being the firehazard 92nd birthday)... but I don't like to miss him.

Though last time I was at the Corn Exchange they appeared to have stopped serving Guinness. :shock:

They used to do a good pint there, too.

Haven't been to a gig in Cambridge before but am going thru a huge John Martyn discovery period & this was closest to London. Have been off work decorating / DiY-ing for a week and he's been my soundtrack. Reckon me & the Mrs will go up to Cambridge and have a day out, lovely place to visit.
