Mr Springsteen and the band on Saturday at Wembley.

Wonderful gig, brilliant set list (with a full run-through of the Darkness on the Edge of Town album in the middle of it, which was amazing*). Brooce onstage for 3 hours 15 minutes without a break. I'd like to think I'll have that sort of energy when I get to his age (I know I don't now...).

Wembley's a terrible venue, and their disabled access is astonishingly substandard. Fortunately this could not ruin an exceptional night.

We were too distant from the stage and lacking suitable photographic equipment for any reasonable photos. But here you go: http://www.flickr.com/photos/15437467@N07/sets/72157634155234505/

*Which set me thinking about which Pogues album I'd most like to see the band perform in its entirety...

They were on excellent form in London six weeks or so ago. You have a great evening to look forward to there.

So, outside of the Pogues, I haven't been to any other concerts in about eight or nine years. That may end Saturday night unfortunately......Justin Bieber at the Boston Garden. At least I will be in a luxury box and have earplugs left over from an Air Show.

Well, I am accompanying my seven year old son-he did go through a Bieber stage, but doesn't like him anymore. Not sure how he is going to react. Now his six year old cousin, believes he is her boyfriend. She will be there along with her entire dance class. (One of my sisters-in-laws won the Luxury Box/tickets as part of a charity auction).

I've had the dirty job of screening his songs for content before use. I think he's funny. Ya' know funny - stupid. 8)

That being said, if he really is spitting at adults and telling them that "their mom is a bitch and their dad is a bitch"... the kid is delusional.
Didn't he spit at his neighbor, a retired NFL player? Is anyone really that stupid?

I love TD Garden, went there for the first time a few months back. My $100 seat was amazing and everybody was so nice. Probably won't make the trek this year as I'll be watching Garnett and Pierce vs whoever on the West Coast. So sad.

Ah, go on, Mike, you don't have to be ashamed on here, no one will judge you, just admit you're a Belieber...

Fred Eaglesmith tonight in Vancouver at Shorefest. Annual Fireworks-palooza with hundreds of thousands of people downtown. I haven't been in a few years because it's just such a mob scene. Got to go this time to see Fred and band in front of such a large crowd. I made a long drive to see them last weekend in a 150 seat club, and they were wonderful, as always. Tonight will be interesting!
...ain't it funny how you used to know everybody in these parts...

I'm working in S. Van till 9. What time are they on?

Dang, just looked it up - 8:30-9:30. About when i could make it there by. :(

Edit: Biking to work i passed a dodgy looking customized red 70s Bluebird bus, followed closely by a giant older RV with a bunch of crap strapped to the roof, both belching veggie diesel fumes. Yup, that was Fred & the gang...

Cambridge Folk Festival last weekend. Blimey that was good. Fine weather, great atmosphere, good booze, and some cracking music.
