Next up: tomorrow it's our thousandth time seeing Dr. Ralph Stanley, at the same lovely venue. Cool week in Harrisburg!

Esther wrote:My husband and I attended a WEW show in an Iowa City bar a few weeks back. I nearly talked myself out of going due to being on a Friday night after a long week, but it was JUST what I needed! We battled an unexpected U of I Homecoming parade crowd to find parking, enjoy delicious falafel and get in line for the doors at 9. There is no longer smoking allowed in public places (I don't agree with the law, but love the smokefree air!) which made the evening more pleasant than the last time we'd been there. There are also no tables and just a few chairs, so I stood for hours and when Will took the stage, elbowed my way through to the 2nd row in the standing room only crowd. (There is something to be said for having white hair and being older than everyone else there.) Will has an adoring and large fan base in Iowa City, so emotions always run high for his shows. It was a wonderful time, 3:30 a.m. arrival time at home and aching feet notwithstanding!
