About to finally get around to "Wind That Shakes The Barley". I've been looking 'forward' to seeing this film since its release.

Bourne Supremacy-with Matt Damon

Perhaps about as good as Identity.

Be Cool. For all the talent in that film its a bit of a let down. Although I never expected The Rock to be a good actor. I've seen a few of his films he's much better than the other muscle men in Hollywood.

Stephen King's The Mist. Not bad, the book was better, some of the special effects are lack of a better word lame. But still a rather tense and scary thrill ride. I recommend it, especially if your a fan of horror movies (my favorite genre) and a fan of Stephen King (my favorite author)

Ironic that I went to visit a friend of mine yesterday, Dr. Harry Lynch, and out of the blue he gives me a copy of this film to watch. Will try to get to it before the week is done. He mentioned that all of Ken Loach's films are worth watching.

I think we all know that Doc Harry is a man of consummate taste.

I just saw No Country For Old Men. I've been thinking about it constantly ever since. Amazing.

I gotta see that. I love the Coens.

I watched The Other Side of the Mirror, Bob Dylan at Newport '63-'65. Fantastic. Seeing him turn from a Chaplinesque tramp to a full-blown rock star in 80 minutes is quite a ride. Although I've seen some of the footage in Festival and No Direction Home, I still can't believe this stuff's been floating around for over 40 years without me seeing it. The performances are amazing, although I'm not nuts about the duets with Joan Baez.

Crucial songs: all, but especially Chimes of Freedom, It's All Over Now, Baby Blue, and the incendiary Maggie's Farm.

The Wind That Shakes the Barley

Excellent film. Very sad to watch. Good thing for sub-titles as my brain struggled to comprehend what my ears were hearing.
