You can't be serious! Think of Star Wars ( the original trilogy ). Empire strikes back was probably the best part ( at least way better than childish Return of the Jedi )!
Or the Godfather trilogy!

I watched "Stoned", the Brian Jones biopic, again - I picked a used copy up for $2.
That's about the right price. It's not as horrid as it COULD be, I guess, but it's close - when they found out they couldn't get the rights to ANY Stones songs, they should've given up the ghost and done something else. Brian & Anita are tripping in 1965, so they play "White Rabbit", which came out in 1967...oh well, close enough. Brian's dad breaks his Robert Johnson record in 1959 - but it wasn't released until 1961... stuff like that drives me nuts.
And at the end (spoiler alert - he drowns!) Brian's ghost thanks Tom Keylock for turning him into a "martyr". A martyr? To WHAT?

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band - live at the hammersmith odeon '75
came with the big 30th anniversary reissue box set of 'born to run' but i never watched it until the other day. didn't realise what i was missing out on!
if you're a broooce fan, you'll love it, and if you're not a fan, you will be afterwards. anybody on these here pages lucky enough to have seen him back then?

rain dog, that is a fantastic gig dvd.
I'd love to be able to say that I'd seen the Boss back in the day. And, when I think about it, I could have been at that gig, but I wasn't.
So November this year will, strangely, be a first time for me...

Well, it's pretty much how you expect it to be, and Michael Sheen has now given us his "Tony Blair" enough that it becomes hard to tell them apart, but the picture is worth watching for Helen Mirren's opaque Brenda.

It was on, so I watched it. Again. "Angels With Dirty Faces" with James Cagney. I should be rolling my eyes when it comes on, but I can't. I'm a sucker for it.
