A History Of Violence - Viggo Mortenson et al.
We just finished this a few minutes ago, and enjoyed it very much. A very interesting film, with great cameos by Ed Harris and William Hurt. The ending, in particular, I found to be very satisfying; allowing the viewer freedom to continue the narrative further onward. Violent and, in parts, gory but without being gratuitous. An interesting portrait of family life disturbed by the unwanted resurrection of the past and it's unwelcome intrusion into the present.

I just picked up the complete 1st, 2nd and 3rd seasons of Father Ted today in a box set called Holy Trilogy as put out by BBC Video. I'll be watching it soon.

Hmmm I didn't see it that way. Didn't really hate it, but disliked it. Just seemed bit predictable and boring.

I watched Penn and Teller's Bullshit this weekend...THAT is a great show. Dunno if it's still on Showtime or not.

Not a movie but saw It Ain't All Stiff on BBC4 last night, part one of a documentary about Stiff Records, Part 2 is tonight at 10pm and features the Pogues.

In fact before it at 9pm, there is a programme called Stiff At The BBC which features performances from The Pogues amongst others.

some very attractive ladies, however, one of the ending up as barbecue fodder...
