At James' last Cranky George show, LT. Dangle was there. It's hard to look at him and not think of those shorts.

Police Story with Jackie Chan
Seven Swords
Kill Zone

I like watching kung fu. :D

What did you think?
I chose to see The Queen instead. I've got tomorrow to see Blood Diamond, Venus, and Little Children to have an informed opinion whilst watching the Oscars.Oh, and I haven't seen Ryan Goslings performance.

Mr. O'Toole was on The View. Hope that crazy Elizabeth Hassleback didn't bother him.

[quote="philipchevron"][ .......I may even need to see it yet again from start to finish. I understand the RSC are to give us the "previous" cycle - Richard II, Henry IV (1), Henry IV (2) and Henry V next season. It would be great if they did all 8 plays in sequence at some point. [quote]

I hear they will! Summer 2008 all 8 plays playing in rep and f I had a '08 diary it'd be in there already ... particularly for Revenge of the Runt again

Great news!

Sam Troughton, who was in the original 2000 Henry 6/Richard 3 cycle, is at the Crucible in Sheffield as Orlando in Sam West's production of As You Like It. He's OK, if a bit shouty at times. Eve Best, in her final British job before she steps out on Broadway in A Moon For The Misbegotten, is as excellent a Rosalind as you might expect.

Looks like the In Extremis dates are not going to work for me, though I'm seeing Othello, and the Barbican's Cymbeline and Coriolanus as well as the rest of the RSC "Complete Works" season, the most interesting of which may be F Murray Abrahams as Shylock. I saw him do Marlowe's The Jew Of Malta in New York last month, which he's doing in repertoire with the Merchant Of Venice he's taking to Stratford. The Marlowe was gobsmackingly awful, but apparently the Shakespeare is in a different class. Poor Marlowe, he is very badly served by most directors and actors.

As usual, I'm months behind...saw Flags of Our Fathers today with my son. What a gut-wrenching, riveting movie. That Clint Eastwood fella is no slouch. I predict a bright future for this young man.

Can't wait to see Letters From Iwo Jima.

Watched "The ninth gate" yesterday. It was okay, but certainly not Polanski´s or Depp´s best.
