Both really fun films. Making them a double feature is a great idea.

Come to me, NetFlix!

I had my tonsils out when i was 16. I had an allergic reaction to the morphine, and they were keeping me overnight. I was the lone person in an 8-bed room, with one TV up on the wall, left on. I kept waking up & passing out and couldn't follow what was happening.

Telling a friend later, i said "Yeah, i thought it was about a race car driver, then a rock star, then a ninja, then i think he went to space. I must have been @#$%ed up on something!".

"Oh," he replied. "You were watching Buckaroo Banzai."

Night before last: Nosferatu
Last night: Shadow of the Vampire

An excellent double feature. I wonder if there's an actual documentary about the making of the iconic Nosferatu. I'm curious to know the real story behind the film.

I enjoyed Shadow of the Vampire a lot...I remember when I saw it in a nearly-empty theater in Chicago thinking that they'd made it just for me, because how many other Max Schreck fans could there be out there? Its very short theatrical run seemed to bear out my theory.

Murnau's Nosferatu remains, for me, one of the most psychologically frightening of all vampire movies.

What do you think of the Herzog remake with Klaus Kinski?
