Guess I never looked at it that closely as I always figured it to be an East Coast location. Didn't notice the canyon bits so much. No answer pops up quickly online, just seems to me like the photographer took a candid shot at the end. The cover photo was taken at Franklin Canyon Park, site of the Andy Griffith Show's fishing hole, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjcWkShO08s&feature=related It Happened One Night's hitchhiking scene http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wHfSb2xz2M and this lp cover:

Certainly Rhymin' Simon's attire in that photo had a little something to do with this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDbN9TZqFcg as well.

Mastodon's Curl Of The Burl is deadly 8) Funny video too. Blessed Black Wings are toooooooo heavy for me though. Often wondered, do you pronounce them Blessed as in "I blessed myself" or Bless-ed as if giving out about somthing?

Quite worringly that lp cover reminds me of an ex girlfriend (thankfuly now living in US ).Not seen the girl/women in question since the early 80s .
But the artist in question means nothing to me .

Isn't it a movie star from Pakistan? I think it's a movie soundtrack compilation. Title song from the film Society Girl, circa 1976, I believe.
It's hard to tell with the playback singers and all who is who. For those less familiar. Like myself.

I like the song. The girls hairdo on the LP looks like Patty Hearst in a bank. Cool.

In the actual song he pronounces it "blessed". Good to see somebody else on here pays some attention to metal. I love the Pogues, but the stoner metal realm is where I typically dwell. Luckily, a staple of the genre is its usually amazing artwork.
