Maybe they were imprisoned, like the three from Superman's homeworld, and are spinning through the galaxy as we speak. They could - one day - be released to wage their terror on some unsuspecting planet!

I like them. :)
Shang-A-Lang is funny.

They were playing a Polynesian bar in my town quite a few years back, I wanted to go but had an early commute.
Now I'm not so sure it wasn't just some dude who played with them for a week +four random Americans.

Apparently they got a statute of limitations waiver in their royalties $uit against Arista.
A Florida woman found an audit ledger pertinent to their case in an antique store. Wholly Moses they're gonna win.

Strange how tastes differ. I'd reckon two out of the last three album covers Frances has posted in this thread are frankly brilliant.
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.

I suppose there could be a quirky record covers thread but, ya' know... too tired. :)

Weird that I've since seen a few of the good & bad covers in thrift stores. Just saw the Herb Alpert whipped cream one... missing the record though.

Not only a bad cover, but looks to be bad covers as well. I'm running the songs through my head and wincing all the while...

So wiki tells me:

Currently, Mitchell, Faulkner and McKeown each regularly tour playing Rollers hits. Due to legal issues over which performers may use the band name, McKeown's group used the name: Les McKeown's Legendary Bay City Rollers. At present there is no official Bay City Rollers.

The current tour is Les McKeown's group., So you're getting the "classic" line up's lead singer, at least.

Mitchell's group passing themselves off as the Rollers is beyond ridiculous.

The actual band name is the Bay City Rollers Featuring Ian Mitchell. No other former members are in the group, and guitarist Mitchell was only a Roller from April through November 1976, though he took part in several latter day “reunion” lineups. In the early ‘90s, he was sued by former Roller Eric Falconer for unauthorized use of the band name. “Judge threw it out of court,” says Mitchell on his website, “as it was the promoter who was at fault. Spoke to Eric about it. We laughed.”

Psycho. That bands lead singer looks like Kip Winger on a pipe and lives in the same town as I. So, I'm guessing it was this shit storm I missed out on. Nobody wants to see that bullcrap.

Clearly this shyster took one judge's indifference and ran with it.

This must be what you're referring to:

Wow, not an album cover, but should get a (dis)honorable mention here.
