Re: What TV Show Are You Watching Or Watch Today
ooh Hulu...I think I love you
In the Line of Duty - is he a good cop/bad cop drama? Great cast and twists. Fantastic ending...my jaw was on the floor
Some months ago I had a hankering for one of the Comic Strips show - a parody of the "Famous Five' books. Sadly I didn't have the patience to sit thru it on youtube, maybe I wasn't in the mood...I hope my humour hasn't changed over the years.....anyway whilst searching I was reminded of other floating members of the Comic Strip such as Peter Capaldi ...and so ended up watching Comic Strip's "Jealousy"...which I hadn't seen when out originally, but it was beautifully silly. Using a VPN, i also got to watch The Accused on BBC iplayer...and again Peter Capaldi was on an episode.
So of to youtube i went searching for Peter Capaldi...and there it was....7 yrs after its inception...'The Thick of it'.
And yes...Hulu have all of it for free, and the new season is being screened to coincide with the screening over in the UK...so no spoilers. I love Hulu...if i could type those heart shaped things now I would
My sister alerted me that a movie had been released prior to the series...she is in Internal Communications and had to watch it with her US counterparts on an offsite conference to highlight some of the cultural communication differences. The UK contingent saw the funny side, and took little of the show literally....the guy hosting the seminar got pulled aside by the US delegate and told sternly not to even think about playing the movie when the equivalent seminar was to be held stateside......anyway - Netflix have it- its called 'In the Loop"
No one can swear like a scotsman, and The Thick of It is the sweariest show I have every seen.....and its smart swearing, not just a bunch of F's C's and B's. Am sure many of you have seen it, but 2012 has been my year of Peter Capaldi.
