Recently finished all three seasons of Medici. Which was fun, and strangely addictive. We particularly enjoyed Sean Bean's evil Florentine family boss with a Yorkshire accent.

I'm quite enjoying it. It's improving my Spanish!

Not seen Medici, we'll have a look. Mr Bean is always very good value, in a Yorkshire sort of good value way.

I’d take the littles in my family because I’m cool like that.

This was when you could just go online and buy the freaking passes, no stupid lottery or waiting five hours outside in the sun to see some Marvel actor bullshit.

These kids had the Simpsons songs memorized backwards and forwards, before South Park came along.

They grew up seeing the dudes from South Park, Kevin Smith, Tony Millionaire, Groening, etc. bumbling around with their coolers or hiding behind pillars in hotels, random shit.

We’d stay at a gaaaay hotel in my neighborhood once owned by actor Jackie Coogan where Rob Halford recorded a solo album in the penthouse.

I will say that Comic-Con has been ruined by the Hollywood bullshit, but way back, when the kids were meeting their anime author heros, the Invader Zim guy (well not “meeting” more observing him), Too Much Coffee Man guy and even... Bob the Angry Flower guy, it was alright.

The last time I went I was supposed to pass out 3D glasses at Avatar on a Sat night. Just walked around getting all the freebies for the kiddos for two days and went to see a movie instead. I waited in line forever to get a family member a Spock foam finger and they. freaking. loved. it.
