The Medusa Fora

from Anti Music: Tom Waits has announced the rescheduled dates for appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Waits was originally scheduled to be on both shows in late April, and new dates have been confirmed. Tom will appear on Letterman July 9 and Fallon on July 10.

The music legend will be talking with the hosts and giving the first live performance of songs from his latest recording, "Bad As Me."

Tow Waits was splendid on Letterman last night, performing "Chicago" with a great band featuring his son Casey on drums, David Hidalgo on guitar, Augie Meyers on piano, Larry Taylor on bass, and (surprise) Muddy Waters' son, Big Bill Morganfield, on guitar. The interview segment was good, too. I think Dave genuinely likes Tom.

Pretty incredible story about a young woman named Jennifer Bricker a girl born without legs. She grew up idolizing US/Romanian gymnast
Dominique Moceanu (US Team Gold 1996) and became a champion tumbler and athlete in her own right-despite her disabilities. It turns out they she is Moceanu's sister-her parents gave her up for adoption at birth because of her disability.

Rescue Me...from beginning to end. I'm on Season 3 right now.
Can't believe I didn't know how great this show was, but then again
I just discovered the same thing about the Sopranos this year.

I might check out España rocking their duds. Which cannot be the worst, I'm sure.

I can't stand Matt Lauer, Ryan Seacrest, Meredith Viera or Tom Brokaw. Well, Brokaw is kinda funny (red leather, yellow leather) and he cried when his secretary got anthraxed, which was nice.

Bob Costas is awesome.

Some of the Olympic ceremony, and lots of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and Doctor Who.
