I don't know anything about the 1990s show...this is a drama but also very funny..starring Jeff Daniels and Dev Patel, him from Slumdog Millionaire.

Recently watched the Netflix original series "The Killing", very addictive and always a cliffhanger so you will find yourself binge watching this. Highly recommend if you have not seen it.

Don't Leave Me This Way, a rather short documentary about Brian Connolly, lead singer of The Sweet.

I walked out of some shitty disco in Covent Garden before Brian Connolly's Sweet hit the stage in the early 90's.
Kinda wished I'd stayed, but the place was freaking me out!

50% Sweet, wedding band. Starts at 1:11.

Center of Attention: The Unreal Life of Derek Sanderson on the NBC Sports Channel

Documentary on the rags to riches to rags to redemption story of Boston Bruin Derek "Turk" Sanderson. Must see for any hockey fan. (If Shane was a hockey player, this would be him)

Have just watched the final two seasons of The Office, two years after it finished. At the time, I just didn't see the point of the show without Steve Carrel. I'm still not sure i do - season 8 definitely re-treaded a lot of territory, although I will admit the quality of writing and acting remained high, the hijinks entertaining, and i did enjoy it. Season 9 was actually better, I thought, as it moved into new territory, including addressing the documentary aspect.

The finale(s) (the series wraps up in the 2nd-to-last ep, and the final is a year-later reunion) were pretty good, wrapping this up and even being sweet without losing their absurdity and sarcasm. "They definitely didn't Parks & Wreck it" as my spouse said.

Better Call Saul - season 1.

A spin-off of "Breaking Bad", this show tells the story of Walter White's lawyer Saul Goodman, aka James McGill aka Slipping Jimmy, and also strongman Mike. But you don't have to have watched BB to enjoy this show, the story and characters stand on their own. Most satisfyingly, the season tells a complete story (how Jimmy went from no good to straight laced to bad all over again), so if it's not renewed we're satisfied with a season.

If I have a complaint, it's the distraction of Bob Odenkir's age, esp in the flashbacks, where a younger James is portrayed by, well, Bob Odenkirk. He is now 2 years older than he was at the end of Breaking Bad, and our younger Mike is noticebly older here too. But the show is so well written and performed it hardly matters, and I don't think anybody could have done the character and his righteous indignation more justice than Odenkirk.

I kinda feel like going to New Mexico to throw a pizza on the BB house, especially since the shows creator has put the word out that it's not cool to do so. 8)

I think we'll be the judge of that.

He needs to cut the homeowner a fat check and they should put a rubber pizza vending machine outside. Everybody wins!

Was watching Letterman interview Pesci, DeNiro and Hoffman and finally got around to watching the finale.

The montage is awesome, starts at around 52:11.

Chris Elliott was the best. 8)

I've been watching season 1 of WKRP (a bootleg version with the episodes in the original 25 minute length and original music intact).

Today's episode featured Hoyt Axton as Jennifer's childhood hopeful husband, singing to Johnny Fever "You got the knife, I got the gun, come on boy let's have a little fun...."

When I was little, I always wanted her & Andy to get together. I think it was the matching hair. Now that I'm middle-aged, i'm thinking of adopting Johnny Fever as my style guru.
