Stargazing Permits are only sold January 1 –March 31 and the Tuesday after Labor Day -December 31.

"Black shapes zip into corners"? Onomatopoeia? That seems like a hell of a stretch. Things that zip don't make a "zip!" sound as they do it, generally. Maybe zip lines? Bullets (or so cheesy movies and TV would have us believe)? Fighter jets? But black shapes zipping into corners? I dunno.

So, I learned a new vocabulary word but haven’t mastered it.

I have a sibling who is a Speech Pathologist and I imagine them to not only have known about this but also have been able to use it in the correct context for well over twenty years, as they introduce words to very specific goals. They have a little machine that measures I don’t know what in a client’s speech, ziggy-zaggy. Very interesting goings on.

It's terrifying, though, to think that "stable" means "medically sedated and may never come out" but yes it sounds better than "critical".

But there's something extremely upsetting thinking about the young man who wrote "hello in there" in this situation.

Apparently he disliked all cover versions of it. So maybe we should add Roberta Flack to your thread re cover versions
