Another thing I learned: Murhpy’s law is especially true in the last hour of your shift. The closer you get to the end of work, the higher get the chances of something going wrong.

But does the increased chance of breakage ALSO increase the chance that it's your fault? Or just that you have to deal with it? Or both? QUESTIONS!

In my job it’s quite rare to be at fault, even when things go wrong it’s usually not my fault. Problem is that when you actually are at fault it means you’ve fucked up big time and you could be anywhere from prison to dead :o

So, the answer is no 8)

That Van Gogh painted three versions of Bedroom in Arles.

I was having a crappy day and saw an instagram pic of a loved one in front of his third version and actually cheered up for a minute. 8)

Really should've taken an Art History class.

Tony Iommi was in Jethro Tull

Watched the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus the other night and saw this. Tull opened the show with a bizarre half live (Ian Anderson flute and vocals) and half pre-recorded backing track, so the band was faking. So I saw Tony, but he really wasn't playing. I guess he played a few gigs and then went back to the guys he had played with previously who reformed as a little band known as Black Sabbath.

You've got it right, he was miming to a pre-recording. Tony only really ever rehearsed with Tull, but his brief flirtation with the band is forever immortalized on film, if not audio.

There was a Jethro Tull family tree drawing in a box set many years ago where i first saw Tony listed. That was a fun distraction, more a question of who was NOT connected to Tull.

British justice, eh?

Well, my nephew made his TV debut on the Ant and Dec show as a backing dancer on the night before Ant, or Dec, or whichever one it was, was driven (or drove) to commit the said offence, thus perhaps destroying his own career. Cause and effect? Who knows...

Cheers to DzM and indirectly, O'Blivion. I now have a new word in my vocabulary........ On This Day, 25th April 2018 i first glimpsed........

Sisyphean

I had to look it up in a thesaurus. It means a futile and seemingly unending task.

Sisyphean.

War is Over

Looks like the Korean War is over. Also looks like Trump is going to go down as one of the Greats!

Not to be churlish, but no. No it's not. The leaders of North and South Korea have announced that they want to "within the year, pursue talks with the United States to declare an official end to the Korean War."

So - Yay! It's a step forward, and a substantial one at that. I genuinely hope that Trump's incompetent buffoonery actually results in some good for the world. Even a broken clock can be right twice a day.

I think his approach is one rarely seen (at his level). So much that it could lead to some unpredictable results. Not necessarily negative ones.

It does make one take another look at Chaos Theory. Now, where's that vhs of "Jurassic Park" so Jeff Goldbloom can explain it to me again....
