I'm nearly certain there's an interesting story behind this learned thing. I'm afraid to ask for details though.
Well i'm assuming FH is referring to Frances' Madonna post. If not, I definitely want to know what the story is
There was an entertaining moment of confusion in this household on the morning after the Brits event. No one here had watched it (you'd have to pay me considerable amounts of money to make me watch it). But middle daughter's line manager (Donna)'s bf had got them tickets (bf works in PR or some similarly carp job). When she got some garbled message about m'Donna having falling down the stairs at the Brits she leapt to all the wrong conclusions...
Anyway, my own personal experience of cape wearing is restricted to having done so once, many, many years ago. (I was a student. It was a party. You know how it goes.) Girlfriend at the time insisted on having a turn at wearing said cape, and got so excited when she did so that she was jumping around and nutted me really hard in the ear. Which I've always vaguely blamed for the beginning of the tinnitus that afflicts me from time to time. So the observation sort of stands, either way.
