Hairyfale of You Nork may in fact be the correct title for what's being used in that Tesco ad. It's something that sounds a bit like Fairytale of New York but somehow just wrong.

I'm curious if they change a few notes in a tune so that one goes "Hey that sounds like ..." Is this automatically a ploy to nullify any royalties?
Unless they're using the Pogues recording - they're not - only the author(s)/compser(s) of the song are liable to receive royalties.
