My latest 78 rpm "discovery", Lula was a soul belter who recorded for King Records in the early 50s. Her big hit was "I'll Drown in My Tears" which was recorded by Ray Charles as "I'll Drown In My Own Tears". In the mid-60s she dropped out of show bidness and returned to the bosom of the church. She refuses all requests to recall her wicked past.
