Commie Drives A Nova - Ike Reilly

Acoustic version live at the "Concrete And Grass" festival in downtown St. Paul, MN. New found respect for Ike...

Also, talked to Ike and his son at the local Irish bar after the show. He is a class act and he told me he will be doing Austin City Limits this Sat. then back to the Twin Cities Thanksgiving Eve.

Highly recommended.

The other night Brownie and I were looking for music to play behind a
silent 8mm version of "Sodom and Gomorrah" he'd just bought and I
chose a thrift-shop LP called "The Art of Belly-Dancing" by George Abdo
and The Flames Of Araby.

It was actually quite good and fit the movie perfectly (especially because,
in this filmic version of Sodom, the main sin seems to be hoochie-coochie
dancers.)

But upon deeper contemplation, I was stuck by the fact that,
if it was ME, and my name was George ABDO, and I played
naught but belly dancing music, I'm afraid I would HAVE to
call my band "The Abdo Men".
