Pretty Boy Floyd - Bob Dylan
Rock Island Line - Little Richard

I just dug out an old CD from '88, a tribute to Woody Guthrie and Leadbelly. Both of these tracks are fantastic - Richard is backed by Fishbone, and although NOW it sounds a bit dated, at the time I fully expected a new album and tour to give Mr. Penniman a last blast of glory. Sadly, it didn't happen.

also on the CD are U2 doing "Jesus Christ" and John Mellencamp doing "Do Re Mi" - two artists I generally don't care for proving me wrong by kicking ass.

Man, this is a great CD!

Ah....I dug out another CD from 1988 - this one's called "If I Should Fall From Grace With God".

Although it's certainly not news to anyone HERE, I feel compelled to say: this is one of the greatest albums anyone's ever recorded.

ANYONE. EVER.

I am going to be leaping out of my skin by the time Mar 16 rolls around.
