Just been listening to a recording of a live Slade show, recorded in San Francisco in 1973, sounding fantastic. To think that so many people think of them as "that band who did that Christmas song" (remind you of anyone :? )

I listened to it courtesy of the fantastic Wolfgang's vault which is a free archive (have to register) containing hundreds of full US gigs recorded in the 70s/80s at venues such as Fillmore East, Fillmore West, Winterland etc (no Pogues though  ).

http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com/

NB the web site states Wolfgang's Vault is the copyright owner and owns the master recording's to these shows so I think that it is fine for me to post this link, if the Medusa mods are unhappy about this post please delete this link as I don't want to post anything that I shouldn't.
