The Popes - Hills of Connemara

Haven't give Holloway Boulevard a spin in a while. It seems this band is underrated and many people are unaware of their lone cd w/o Shane?

I listened to a great American Routes show tonight w/an interview w/91 year old Les Paul. He told about the first electric guitar he built, from a piece of railroad track and a telephone receiver! Also interviewed was Honeyboy Edwards, also 91, with remembrances of Robert Johnson. You can listen to the interviews at the website: http://www.americanroutes.org/

I heard some great tunes as well: Sugar Foot Rag - Junior Brown; My Creole Belle - Mississippi John Hurt; My Babe - Bo Diddley; and Worried Man Blues - the Carter Family were favorites.

I've taken today off today as holiday and enjoying my afternoon of tunes and lazing. I'm soaking up David Gray oh and the goo goo dolls in preparation for tonight! :)
