Muddy Waters: "Just Make Love To Me" / "Oh Yeh"

Wow. I just got my first Muddy Waters 78 in the mail. The A side is actually "I Just Want To Make Love To You", one of my favorite Muddy Waters songs...hell, one of my favorite songs period. This is the original title. Recorded in 1954. with Willie Dixon on upright bass, Otis Spann on piano, and I believe Little Walter on harp, as well as Jimmy Rogers on 2nd guitar...this is THE band, The Headhunters as they were informally known, against which all electric blues bands would forever be measured.

To make it MORE exciting, I had never heard the b-side before...and I've been DEEP into Muddy for decades. (I slapped five with him once in 1980...haven't washed my hand since...) I've stood in the room where this was recorded (2120 S. Michigan Ave) , and I've left flowers on Muddy's grave...so getting this record is a big deal for me.
Disclaimer: These are my opinions and not fact as realised in these here United States, lest I give my friends the idea that everyone thinks like me.

I have! Good band, indeed. Part of that tribe of third wave ska bands with bands like Reel Big Fish and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

Do you love Ska aswell?

I'm glad you are listening to Ska! Ska is such a good and very underrated music genre. Ska fans are usually very loyal, and that is a good trait in a fan. Keep them coming, Behan!

Now that he definitely did play last night (of course). Solo on stage, in the spotlight, surrounded by dry ice... a stunning moment. 8)

yep, still listening...
