Johan, that's the best idea I've heard all day. I think I'll join you. Cheers. 8)

Memphis Minnie: "Fish Man Blues" b/w "Lean Meat Won't Fry"

I got this one in the mail yesterday. Unfortunately I also received a broken copy of Minnie's "Killer Diller" too.

It was shipped in a padded envelope. A PADDED ENVELOPE! They probably broke it when they stamped "Fragile" on it!

PLEASE - if any of you ever sell any 78s on EBay - double box 'em!

I purchased insurance, so now I have to hassle with the Post Office, but most importantly, it's not like they're making any more of these things! It makes me sick to see these things broken.

There ain't half been some stupid fuckers selling 78s on eBay. The vast majority of sellers use the 78-and-card tight sandwich method, which has stood up to both the Atlantic Ocean and United Airlines for over a century now. But there's always one dumb cluck in Dumbclucksville, Dumbcluck State who thinks the modern Jiffy bag has all angles covered.

Well - when the package arrives all the pieces are contained within the bag, no?

What? You mean you want all the pieces to be only one big piece? Now you're just talking crazy.

Actually, one Seller, when I challenged the merits of her packing did tell me "Well, it was all in one piece when I last saw it, that's all I know. Dang USPS, can't do anything right."

Buying vinyl by internet / post can be a heartbreaking process. I bought a Chuck Jackson album I'd been after for ages and I swear the postman had tried to force the 12 inch package through our 8 inch letterbox before giving up so that when I entually picked it up it had two chunks snapped out of it on either side which corresponded to the edge of the letterbox. Pillock!

Die Ärzte - Schrei nach Liebe

German punkrock with sarcasm. I like 'em when they go political and just poke fun at nazi scum. It's my favourite song at the moment, I think. I get to scream ARSCHLOCH!! as loud as I can 8)

I love Junior. Just saw him a few weeks ago. I guess I already mentioned that...

Listening to him playing's one thing, but watching him do it is the best. I looked around me and saw a sea of gaping mouths, along with a lot of people smiling and shaking their heads. He's certainly one of a kind.
