"Whispering Pines", as perfromed by Lucinda Williams at the "Love for Levon" concert. While nothing could ever top Richard Manual's voice on this number, Williams' performance is breathtaking.
Incidentally, Roger Waters' take on "Wide River to Cross" is terrible. To his credit, he arranges it as Roger Waters song, rather than try to imitate either Helm or author Buddy Miller, but it's just not right for the song. Nice of him to return the favour for The Band showing up to his "The Wall Live In Berlin" charity gig back in 91 or whenever, though. And so sweet that he wore the ball cap Helm gave him that day.
