A place to discuss largely non-Pogues related things.

"Disorder in the House", by Warren Zevon, with Bruce Springsteen on harmony & a smoking electric guitar solo. Previous to this song, i had no idea he had it in him.

I was just listening to the Oysterband's version of the same song myself.
A band I went to see last Friday evening dedicated another mining song to the four.
It's a reminder of the proud and vital place that mineworkers have played in the history of our nations, and how much it has cost so many of them and their families. RIP.

Adele's Someone Like You. Not from choice - the woman next door appears to have just the one CD on permanent rotation!

I had a neighbor who literally played 50 Cent's Candy Shop single 24-7. Any time I walked in from work and couldn't hear it through the wall I'd be overjoyed, only to have it start up again. :( The day before I moved out I wrote a passive-aggressive note with a five dollar bill attached telling him how much that song sucked and to please buy a second single on me. Before I could even attach it to the door, the bastard moved out. That was the worst part, I could've been Fiddy free.

My Dad had a female neighbor that loved a Shania Twain song (about puttin' your boots under the bed or something) which she played incessantly.

I never complained to these people; live and let live, but that Fiddy song almost broke me. :|
