Steve Earle's cover of Hank's immortal "Never Get Outta This World Alive".

Best song (not) on the new album! Did a crackerjack job of it live here the other night, too.

You're in for a great show. A couple of us have reviewed it over on the Concert Schedule thread. My summary: best Dukes EVER!

''Sonny's Dream'' by Ron Hynes,a son of Newfoundland, one of the best singer songwriters to come out of North America. This song featured on the 2 albums by late 70's/early 80's folk rockers The Wonderful Grand Band'',of which Mr.Hynes was a member.''Sonny's Dream'' has been covered several times, amongst those who recorded it,Christy Moore,Dolores Keane with Mary Black and Emmylou Harris.A great song, one of many from the mighty pen of Ron Hynes, pride of Atlantic Canada!

y'er man Ryan Strong is on the money,Ron Hynes is THE MAN!As an exiled Nova Scotian living in Norway, the most expensive country on the planet!,his music lifts me like no other and i long for the day when i can return to Cape Breton.''Sonny's Dream'' is such a beautiful song,i have tried teaching some of the students in my class to play it,we're getting there!I am also a huge Pogues fan,saw them in Vancouver in 1987,with Joe Strummer deputising for Phil Chevron, sadly didn't make it to Drammen 2009-10,i live in Narvik which is a zillion miles away.Good luck to all Pogues fans,Pogues best band!
