This Heart - Zoot & the Roots

The Zoots live were consistently one of the best nights out in the NW & NE of England in the 80's. :D

I've been dithering about buying this! What's your verdict on it?

''A heart needs a home' by Richard and Linda Thompson taken from their ''Hokey Pokey'' album released in 1975,the former Mrs.Thompson was one hell of a singer back then, she can still hold a tune today despite continual problems with her vocal chords.

Well if like me you are a mad TMTCH fan and already love Phils powerfull vocals you should not need much dithering as to buy or not .Its a 5 track ep of cover songs [Kris Kristofferson ,Gene Viincent, THe Only Ones / Penetration & Tom Waits ].Most of the songs are very basic arrangements with the acoustic guitar up front .The Parting Glass being the exception given a different spin with just a haunting keyboard organ .Mick Glossop produced.Buy it.

SUMMER WAGES (Ian Tyson), played by Thunder Bay bluegrass band "Gibson, Martin & I". Been in my head since Steve Earle opened the 2nd encore with a solo version here in Vancouver (where the song takes place, what a shameless crowd-pleaser!)

I just got this from Amazon yesterday and I've listened to the title track 'Sunday Morning Coming Down' almost non-stop ever since. Only bought it on a whim but I am loving it.
