Eerie. Not as bad as being the lone graveyard security guard at a morgue, but still creepy. The call is coming from inside the house!, gymnasium... lake and/or motel.

Hard to believe its 30 years on from Anthony O’Shaughnessy and the photograph of him and his brothers running from their home on the cover of Dexy’s debut album first caught my eye .

Go Away With Me, a song by Dan Welsh, sung by Hazel Dickens (on 1984's "Sweat of My Brow"). Played it like 3 times straight on the way to work tonight.

What an amazing song. She's telling someone to leave her false love and run away with her. And while the lyrics are full of compassion for this poor woman being used & abused, what's heartbreaking is the longing in the singer, whose true love is wasting away with some total dickweed.

There's no one better than Hazel, i remember every time i listen to her.
