"Parker Iana" from The Great Concert of Charles Mingus - which I've always found to be a funny, English-as-second-language title, but just about my fave album by him.

It's not often somebody can top Joni Mitchell on one of her own songs. Lenard Nimoy on "Both Sides Now" & this one by Christy might be about it. Seen the film
The Magdalene Sisters? You must. Watch it with
Song for a Raggy Boy and prepare for a miserable but enlightened time. Heck, watch 'em both with
Rabbit Proof Fence and subsume yourslef in the evils of colonialism & the triumph of the human spirit. Refer to "Concert Schedule" thread for whisky reccomendation to try & make yourself feel better.

I remember Rufus as a kid - did you ever watch, 'Tommy Tricker and the Stamp Traveller'? That song, (I'm a Runnin') was written by him. He was so cute and very talented. My kids and I loved that movie. My favourite song by him is Hallelujah.
