Amy Winehouse, the EP or album, whatever it is.

Borrowed my sister's car yesturday while I was house watching, and this CD was in the deck. Immediately gained my attention, but since checking her out on the internet, I'm not entirely sure I'm with her 100%.

I'm not sure what it is, but her act seems to me like a gimmick.

Lovely...as much as I love Elvis - and I do - I prefer Wyatt's version; it always makes me cry.

Listening to "Who By Numbers" here, on and off. Mid-life crisis at barely 30 years old...Townshend always was ahead of his time. 8)

Oh yes, I agree, Sheva! I rarely listen to Costello's version.

I do have a soft spot for Suede's version, which appeared on some charity album. Brett Anderson's wonky vocals suited the plaintive song.

''The Ghost of Stephen Foster'' by Squirrel Nut Zippers
“An’ this is the last of Brummy,” he said, leaning on his spade and looking away over the tops of the ragged gums on the distant range.

it's the song that turned me onto Bjork. pulled up the video the other day on youtube. Her first band's stuff is better though (Sugarcubes).
