anybody else been slowly turning gay to the strains of 'don't feel like dancing' by the sisters?
I went and set the Thames on fire,
Now I must come back down
She's laughing in her sleeve at me,
I can feel it in my bones

No, but I'm feeling very merry under the influence of Mr Jameson and Sons, as my kidneys strain their golden fluids...

I tells ye, she's gone PLANXTY MAD, boyos. Ah, sure and why wouldn't she, now?

For tune-association try and track down a rendition of say.... Planxty Irwin, or Planxty Fanny Power/Poer (source of many the post-reconstructed-feminist chortle around these parts).

I have Planxty Irwin.

:)

I was just saying to my sister instead of buying big x mas presents this year as it's a load of money,.. I've asked for the Planxty 2004 live and vicar street DVD and told her to tell my brother to get me the book. I reckon a few nice gifts like that will well and truly make my x mas.

I keep thinking of lying on the sofa wrapped up in my duvet on mx mas day watching the planxty dvd - ah heaven! :)

The 2004 DVD is spec-fecking-tacular. Brings tears to my eyes and raises the hairs on the back of my neck, simultaneously. Would ma'am like a belated combined Spendmas/natal day gift from the Christy catalogue? I'm sure I could arrange something slightly personalised.
