"far away boys" is such a great song isn't it? that's always been one song that i can feel every word of. it's such a lonely song. i remember times out to sea when i couldn't remember which day it was and all that was in my head was valerie b. and the sun was beating down on my back and there was nothing to look forward to for the next day but more work and more sun and another true bunch of assholes rolling their shit further downhill on me and the boys i'd grown to love. "far away boys" was the song playing in my head on those days.

that one, and "the son never shines on closed doors." that one kills me every time.

A lonely song..that's a very good description. Loneliness, Hopelessness, Misery and Drudgery...the REAL four horsemen of the apocalypse... :(
on a brighter note...been listening to Seasick Steve tonight...'last po' man turn out the light'.. :)
