Well I just thought the throwing pots was a natural progression for the term.

just to clarify...the "clay" in this expression is meant as unhardened. otherwise it would be called "brick ass" :D

Brick ass would be painful! I know you meant unhardened, the term throwing pots is what they use when they bung a load of clay on the wheel ready to make something. I used to work in a pottery; I didn't spin pots but I made little souvenir sheep out of clay.

I managed to endure severe condescension from patrons at the pool today and not fly off the handle at them...I was about to go after them, but I managed to restrain myself. And probably saved my job

That's "nice", right????

Close.

"It was a really lovely day at the pool today - nice weather, cool water, puffy clouds in the sky. It was barely even marred by the snooty customers! And I wasn't at all constipated. Tra-la-la-la what a lovely day!"

(OK. I'm not positive the constipation part is actually a requirement to be considered "nice" but the lest several pages seem to have established a precedent. Best not to buck the trend.)

Hahaha! OK, not constipated...but the water was murky and I got heat exhaustion. GREAT day at the pool other than that...I'm trying to introduce a friend who I work with to the Pogues. His tastes deviate toward John Mayer and Vanessa Carlton :?

You were right not to go off on them. They were being dicks, but they would have loved it if you attacked, that's what they wanted. Just wait 'till dark then piss in the pool a lot, invite friends to do the same. Then tomorrow watch them enjoying their swim.

I was watching a show last night, "The World's Most Extreme Pools". I saw this one pool in Austria where you can swim in beer. They use to make the beer in these big stainless steel tubs but the room became redundant so they turned it into beer swimming pools at the brewery.

This is the place - Image I can definitely see Shane taking a dip in there! 8)
Swimming in beer - NICE.

I think the small children take care of pissing in the pool just fine :P I'll bet the ration of urine to water in that pool is quite high....

That is AWESOME! I just hope that they don't drink the beer they bathe in

Hiya. Been like a youth hostel at our place over the summer and have just packed off the two boys to uni and getting back into a routine with the others. You're right, I am editing one of the books (in between working) and trying to get some bugger to publish it.
