I asked for Philip answering a fan who’s criticising the lead singer. I don’t think it worked…

Music Fan: I just don't get it. Why does your band have to have such a terrible lead singer? I mean, he can barely carry a tune!

Philip Chevron: Well, I think you might be missing the point. Our band isn't just about having a technically perfect singer. We're about expressing ourselves creatively and emotionally, and sometimes that means embracing imperfection.

Music Fan: But come on, you must agree that he's not very good. I mean, don't you ever get frustrated with him?

Philip Chevron: Of course there are times when we all get frustrated with each other. But that's just part of being in a band. And to be honest, I think our lead singer brings a certain rawness and authenticity to our music that you wouldn't get with a perfectly polished vocalist.

Music Fan: I guess I can see your point, but still... I just wish he would work on his singing a bit more.

Philip Chevron: Well, I think that's a fair criticism, but at the end of the day, we're all just doing our best to create something that we're proud of. And if our lead singer's imperfections are part of that, then so be it. It's all about the music, not just one person's performance.
