We don't get a lot of snow in Vancouver, so not a lot of people own tobaggans. I remember being surprised by an overnight snowfall when the kids were small, grabbing a couple large Rubbermade tub lids, and heading for the nearby embankment for the downtown viaduct for some urban style sledding.

I just had a cold shower, and now I'm laying here, sweating, and thinking about how Chevron, ExxonMobil, et al. knew about fossil fuel caused global warming for decades and fought to keep it hidden.
I had an ice cream sandwich for breakfast today, at 6am.

Ice cream sandwiches are the best, except those weird, round, oatmeal, mint & chip ones or Klondike bars... those are nasty.![]()

Portland shut down its light rail yesterday due to the heat. It’s supposed to be below 100* today, so hopefully it’s back on because I planned to use the damn thing.

I had a stroopwafel ice cream sandwich. I can't find a post-able image on line, but if you just google image search that you'll see i did quite well. Bought a box at Costco, along with a box of Häagen-Dazs bars on sale, which is what today's breakfast was. One advantage, i suppose, is that I downed two beer with my late-night dinner and still only got up to pee once in the night.Frances wrote:Good luck.

I saw pictures of Portland's melted power lines on IG this AM. Billionaires are paying no tax and flying to space on private aircraft, and our under-funded infrastructure is literally melting in what we can be sure is just the beginning of climate change. That's just great. I'm sleeping like a baby (I wake up every 2 hours, screaming).
