Have a happy St. Patrick's Day!

Dragged myself out the door for our parade.
Remembered my bottle opener, yay!

Happy to say i've not been to a parade since my girls stopped with the Irish Dance classes (happy because Vancouver parades are usually crappy).

However, Low-D-the-youngest has a murder mystery birthday party tomorrow ("Bludgeoned on Broadway"), so i'll be spending the day overseeing the pretend murder of teenagers at a 1940s broadway musical. I like to think St. James Cagney would approve.

Ours is pretty, pretty good.

The fancy Irish Setters, Wolf Hounds and Clydesdales are the best.

The Compton Cheerleaders were awesome and the kid dancers doing handstands and whatever those gazelle stride moves are called down the parade route make one feel old as hell.

The videos of Japanese St. Patrick's Day parades on youtube are adorable. I want a Japanese Irish Setter.

We did, what a lovely gift. Now watching The Pogues at the Town & Country. Opening act was my middle child on fiddle, not too shabby a night in.
