The library had this title right up front but I can't read it yet because I'm on season one episode three, maybe. Just a little behind. 8)
To my credit, I do actually own a physical copy. Haven't seen Omar yet...

I own every episode of Seinfeld too. I'll have to look up how long that would actually take to watch.

It’s raining and I’ve just been reading some old threads here that are so funny, the [still] President one (around Romney time), what concert are you going to and a Paris meet-up thread. All just peppered with Philip’s wit, insight and trivia knowledge. Good stuff. 8)

Actually, i knew that because just last week i read

Buffy Sainte Marie - The Authorized Biography - by Andrea Warner (2018)

It was amazing to read how she made her own career, by her own rules, even while dealing with major labels, etc. Was also surprised to learn she was married, for seven years, to Jack Nitzsch - and that he was a creepy abusive POS.

It was also really touching to read about her adoption by the youngest son of Chief of the Piapot Cree and his family. She was, as you mention, raised by a white family in Wakefield, MA, after being adopted out from the Cree Nation at around the same time and area that the Piapot family lost a child to adoption. Ultimately, the records of her adoption were never found, but they chose to claim her as their own anyway, which is very much part of what allowed her to grow into a full First Nation identity (a journey, incidentally, that started with her lovely white adoptive mother, who did not hide Buffy's origins, and was further encouraged by the postal officer of Wakefield, MA - the only other "Indian" in town, who was quite generous with her as a child).
