Anybody heard the 12/19/07 Brixton Academy bootleg?

I'm curious as to the sound quality. The 12/16 show sounds pretty damn good, all things considered, but Brixton Academy bootlegs (not just the Pogues - I have a lot of bootlegs from various bands playing there) usually seem to have that far-away, echoe-y sound that's probably symptomatic of the venue more than it is equipment.

I don't have the show, but I've heard similar boots by a variety of people of different bands and the while the recording quality has been great, the sound has always been less so. That said, I've got a Billy Bragg boot from '84 that had been recorded on a dictaphone

So is it symptomatic of the acoustics of the place?

Our 2001 live album was recorded at Brixton Academy, indicating that the acoustic shortcomings of the space can be overcome if you use multiple sound sources (apart from close mics on every instrument, there are a number of ambience mics to capture the audience atmosphere) and brilliant sound engineers (our trusty Nick Robbins and his assistant Rob Keyloch in this instance, working closely with both our front-of-house man Paul Scully' and the recording engineers from the hired mobile studio), you can get superb results. The trouble with bootlegs is they are usually recorded from a single stationary source. That's not how your ears operate, complex and sophisticated buggers as they are.
