Like yourself Iam no computer genius, far from it . So maybe some one else can explain it better , but here goes.
To upload right click on the file you want from the local site/ your list of files and it should up load into the romote site/ftp into the file selected .
To download is the reverse of the above. To download right click on the file you want from romote site/ftp and it should down load into the local file into the file selected .

Peter C. Kühne has also just set up a ftp ,log in details below.

An amusing Mac technique that can be used for FTP sites is:

1) In Finder pull down the Go menu
2) Select Connect To Server
3) In the Server Address you can specify an FTP site like this:

ftp://site.address.tld/

(where site.address.tld is the name of the site you want to load).

If a password is needed then you can use the form of:

ftp://UID:PASS@site.address.tld/

4) Bonk on the Connect button

The specified FTP site should now magically appear on your desktop as though it were a mounted network drive. Interact with it the same way you would any other Finder window.

DzM, you have done something that I've long thought was impossible. You've managed to explain to someone as tech-illiterate as me how to make this thing work on my Mac. You are a genius. Thank you. And thanks TOSCS. 8) :)
