I have tried accessing a FTP on a mac via DZM's method, and then when I do connect and the folders pop up, there is nothing in the folders. There is a progress wheel in the bottom right corner of the window when the computer is trying to access a certain folder, then I get a message that the server connection got interrupted.-Never mind, it must have been the connection. What a treasure trove...

I have been using SmartFTP and it's been working great. When trying with just a browser, sometimes certain songs would show as "missing" when I knew they weren't.

Does anyone know what happened to The Sickbed of Cuchulaínn (I think it's track #19) on the Birmingham 2007 set? It's only 100 kb and plays for a sec and then skips to #20.

P.S. Shane's performance of Thousands Are Sailing at that gig came so close to being transcendent.

He certainly does the absolute best second-best performance of that song.

If anyone can liberate the recording of the 3/15/08 NYC show and post it to the FTP it'd be much appreciated.

Just bringing this back to the top to ask is anyone going to make any contributions to this in the near future. I have a few songs that i'd like to upload but there's no point if nobody else is using it. Its not particularly rare material or anything just bits and pieces. Is there any point?

The FTP has become the hole in my heart where love falls out .

Just looked on the FTP for the first time in age and there seems to be nothing new of any interest , let alone Pogues gigs of 2006- 2008. That alone would be sad enough but all so noticed that a large % of what had been uploaded has been deleated.The FTP sites [this & others eg Kufens] was where I got the vast majority of the live boots, [the others come from over priced ebay sellers & the like , often bought before I got a comp]and as a result have given me untold hours of listening pleasure . They where a great resoucre for Pogues fans .The world will be a darker place without them.

Have I missed the boat as to where to go for new stuff.

Looks like someone has started to upload some stuff to the ftp in last week or so .
Chatterbox just upload what you got /wanted to and see what happens, you got to give to get some times.
It sad this ftp is not as active as Kufens but this may be a result of the box sets offical releases filling the gap.
A new Pogues cd would even be better .

I was just browsing through this thread and noticed people reporting problems uploading via the Mac Finder. I decided to look into this and came up with:

It seems the Mac Finder connects to FTP servers in Read only. It's great for pulling things down, crap for pushing up.

Not visted the ftp for some time, last time I looked it was in a need of a tidy up by the mods.Lots of stuff out of place,missing files etc. Also lots of stuff in temp folders from years ago but still there.Plus some strange & unrealted stuff in there.Sadly no new Pogues shows.
Dont let this resource die .Use it with pride and care.
