Pogues On Broadway is so not about you. Trust me, your own sister will not notice you're there, so charismatic are The Pogues. Mind you, I always liked the bit on "Fall From Grace With God" in the Town And Country vid where the camera cuts to the dancing feet of several Pogues fans. Satisfyingly, they are as well shod as you would expect from a Pogues audience.

Mr C, those feet could well have been mine. After one of the T&C gigs during the week's residency in March '88 I got given an invite as I was leaving the T&C to come back the next day if we wanted to participate in the IISFFG video. Well a mate and I were well up for it and we came back the following morning.
From memory I recall about 40 or so fans turned up. We must have had to dance around listening to the track about a dozen or so times and sent to the Bull and Gate next door before coming back again for another take.
I seem to remember someone from the video crew going along and spraying water on the bands faces to make out you were all sweating. Does my memory serve me correctly ?
The trouble is I can never remember what shoes or boots I had on that day !. Anyway it was great fun and we got put on the guest list for the evenings gig .

I doubt we'll see it this year. My best guess - and that's all it is - is March 2007.

Anything that "coincides" in the Pogues is more out of good fortune than design, but essentially, as far as the music business is concerned, there are only two days in the Pogues calendar - Christmas Day and St Patrick's Day

We're still editing footage from New York March 17/18 2006. Expect results in Spring.
