Here's sending you lots and lots of 'get well' hugs.

Yes, it will be released, most likely this year. Assuming it's any good.

Dont worry about it being any good or not, let us be the judge of that

Right, and none of us are bias in anyway.

Cheers!
Does anybody knows when there will be an official live dvd released from the reunion tours?
I heard rumours about a New York DVD but when will it be released? I hope it will be out soon, I can't wait for it.
The fans deserves a reunion live DVD release of this fantastic band.

...And I hope The Pogues will visit Norway soon, it's been a long time ;)

I've asked about this a few times, the latest news (earlier in the year) was that it might see the light of day sometime in 2008.

Woohooo! Does that also include that video of that woman (I forgot the name of) who filmed most of the 2005 British/Irish gigs?

Probaly not, I asked Phil about this some time ago and I think there were some copyright/legal reason that stopped this one. Too bad

Ok, it's not great news. Unfortunately, based upon the 4-song sample we allowed them to see, Warner Video have decided not to go forward at the moment with the DVD of the Nokia shows, though they mention they will do at some distant point "in the future". The main problem we have filming our shows, and Warners were not slow to point it out this time, is that Shane hates having stage lights shining directly into his eyes. Alas, though Ian, our great lighting designer, has found creative and interesting ways around this problem over the past 7 years, we have not been able to solve it sufficiently to avoid the inescapable fact that our 21st century shows just look murky on video. The problem could, I'm sure, be solved by washing the venue with bright floodlights, using the stage lighting to add tone and mood, but this is probably not very fair to the audience at the actual show, who have come to see a Pogues show, not the Blackpool Illuminations.

Sorry. We'll try again sometime, I'm sure.

The Brothers Warner's music division, meanwhile, has confirmed it will soon be deleting the widely-racked Very Best Of The Pogues CD. It will be replaced as a stock item, from November onwards, by a single-disc version of The Pogues: The Ultimate Collection, which also no doubt means that Live At The Brixton Academy will turn up as a single CD at some point in the future.

Just curious, who "owns" the video- Pogues or Warner? Any thought about releasing it yourselves? Incidentally, I flew in for all 4 Nokia shows and it they were all fantastic. Phil, I hope you're doing well. California misses you. Hope to see you in '09. Peace and Love.
