I think the 2006 DVD had been planned long before the March 2007 show was done.

Also theres a DVD documentary either being released along side the live show or seperately I'm not entirely sure. Also the box set as well. God I can't wait until next year.

I read in one of the threads (can't remember which one) that it had been shelved.

There was supposed to be a DVD from that but no news in a long time. Live from Manchester and New York has been filmed so what can we hope for?

That production, like so many worthwhile movies, fell apart earlier this year when the creative team and producers could not agree terms.

The reply from Phillip seems to imply that the proposed tour documentary has been shelved. It's unclear if the NYC show itself has been shelved.

As someone who was there, and would dearly love to see it again, Phillip could we please get some sort of definitive statement one way or the other about the NYC shows themselves ever being released?

The Pogues On Broadway, the DVD of the Nokia shows, is not the same project as the abandoned movie. I regularly enquire about the DVD and keep getting fobbed off, both by Warners and by Pogues management. This is inexplicable to me, but I will continue to push for it.

Dear Philip: I know the Nokia March 06 DVD has been delayed for a long time now, but could you just reassure us that Mr Warner and/or Mr Rino will be releasing it AT SOME STAGE and that it will not be dropped altogether.
Here's sending you lots and lots of 'get well' hugs.

Yes, it will be released, most likely this year. Assuming it's any good.

The Pogues, like pizza and sex - even when it ain't as good as it is at other times, is still pretty fucking good.
