Well according to this Philip says they plan to release the Manchester 2004 show on DVD, maybe even as soon as March 2006 :D

If they ever release it, I hope it will be either encoded for all regions or released properly in North-America.

What's the big deal with these regions thing... my DVD player is 4 years old, I entered a cheat and since then it's code free. And even my 15 year old TV supports PAL and NTSC.

Well in North America, land of the oppressed, all region players used to be illegal years ago. And you still have to search a little to buy one.

So with that as history, dual PAL NTSC tvs are mainly reserved for video editors as well or quite expensive.

A no region DVD that we can watch on our computers is a very exciting thing.

Presumably there is no news as yet then! Thought they might rush it out for Paddy Night in March.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! - live DVDs

Post Sun Mar 19, 2006 7:00 am

Some of you who attended the Nokia on the 17th or 18th may have been aware of multiple film cameras shooting the shows. We hope to use this footage, perhaps in conjunction with the film we made of Manchester MEN 2004, for a live DVD souvenir later in the year.

In addition, Nora Meyers is still making her, if you will, Poguementary, and has been present all through the UK/Ireland tour 2005 and this US East Coast tour as well as the Meteor Awards and other events. She and her producer Danielle Von Zerneck have accumulated miles of footage and will be using it in conjunction with some archive material for a projected cinema film which would also, in due course, be a DVD.

There have been several questions on this topic and this is the most complete answer I can give at present. No release dates or even projected release dates yet. Soon come, as they say in Cahirciveen. 8)

I'll buy it AND go to the cinema. (imagining myself in the front row yelling at the screen about "being" MacRua). In my brand new Medusa limited edition t-shirt, too. Thanks for giving all of us something else to look forward to. :D

Thanks Philip, look forward to that, sounds brilliant.

I'll be looking out for myself as I have been at the front in Manchester both years.
