By the way, NONE of these are PEACE AND LOVE outtakes, they're all from the HELL'S DITCH session in Wales with Joe Strummer producing.

There are very few PEACE AND LOVE outtakes that have not already appeared. All I can remember are NICARAGUA LIBRE, REDEMPTION SONG and THE MISTLE THRUSH, none of which were full band performances. And CONTACT YOURSELF, of course.

It's my fond hope that the oft rumored Box Set is produced in the same style as the Velvet Underground one. The released tracks book-ended with demos and unreleased tracks.

Demos, rarities, album, rarities, demos, next album, etc. Of course some of the velvet's demos are ... ummm ... well, crap (recorded in a closet with a two-track, etc). But it's interesting hearing how the songs evolved, the difficulties the band had playing the songs, etc.

Redemption Song? Is it a Bob Marley cover? I am very interested in hearing this... Joe Strummer and Johnny Cash did a nice cover of it as well.

Am I thinking of the right tune?

Actually, on reflection, Spider's vesion of Bob's "Redemption Song" may have been a demo, not an outtake. It was all soooooooooooo long ago. 8)

Redemption Song was on the Falconer Demos, was it not? I have heard live versions of a few of the songs but not the demos unfortunately, people can be a bit stingy with demos.....I do hope that they would appear in any future box set.

I heard Spider doing Redemption song. IT SOUNDS LIKE SHIT! COMPLETE SHIT! He must have been on crack, heroin, jack daniels, etc.

If you don't have it already, don't get your hopes up on that one.

Waiting for Herb out-takes are fantastic, some of the Falconer are ok.

Yeah, Bob Marley would roll over in his grave if he heard that studio out-take. In the middle of the song Spider hocks up a lung and he sings the song soooo off key it's poison to the ears. Those are only a couple of critisizms I have of this!

you have to keep in mind that this is only a demo.
I'm sure if he wanted he could do great version, which even you would like hehe
